Every workflow on one continuous record.
Front office, middle office and back office read the same identifier. A roadmap item is listed once, at the bottom of this page, and nowhere on the home page.
Front office
A document becomes a decision. Extraction, the pipeline and the investment committee.
What it does
Reads the document, ranks the deal against the written thesis, and puts a published memo to a vote.
The control
Nothing from the model is stored until a person approves it. The memo does not reach the committee before it is published.
Middle office
A decision becomes a position. The trade, the mark and the Security ID.
What it does
Books the holding, checks concentration before the trade goes, and stamps one carrying value.
The control
The booker cannot approve the trade and cannot settle it. A mark needs two approvals.
Back office
A position becomes money. Capital calls, the ledger, distributions and LP reports. Wire release is not on this list.
What it does
Calls capital pro rata, posts a balanced journal, and reports to LPs from those rows.
The control
The call lines have to add to the total. A journal that does not balance does not post.
Security ID
One immutable ID with full version history.

| REALISED | On exit and final distribution |

Capabilities
Document extraction
Figures cite the page they came from. A person approves them before they are stored.
Pipeline and thesis
Deals are scored against the fund's own written thesis. Confidential names stay behind a codename.
Investment committee
The memo reaches the committee only when it is published. Quorum is enforced, and every ballot is recorded.
Models
LBO and DCF read confirmed figures. They do not start from a number someone retyped.
Trade blotter
The person who books a trade cannot approve it, and cannot settle it.
Valuation
Two approvals stamp one carrying value. The rest of the fund reads that number.
Security ID
One immutable ID with full version history.
Credit desk
Loan terms, covenants and accrual sit on the same record as the position.
Capital calls
Allocations are pro rata and the lines add to the total.
General ledger
Movements post a balanced journal. The statements read those rows.
Distributions
Waterfall, carry and the LP notices use the same identifier as the first document.
LP reports
Investor reporting reads the ledger. It does not keep a second set of figures.
